Dear Jen,

There was stillness in every hotel room. A non-place where we might finally finally rest, replenish an ounce of sleep debt. It didn’t matter if there was a huge alien cutout on the door to reception, or if the lobby smelled of smoke, or the review warned us it would smell of dog pee. In these places we could be still. Regain ourselves. Watch TV and giggle and find one another again.

Love,

H
